Magnesium is essential for life. Many people are familiar with the healing properties of saunas, used quite often for detox and general well-being.
This “balneology “ is the most ancient way of skin therapy using bathing for health and well-being.

Do I get enough magnesium per day?

Recommended dietary allowance (RDA) for magnesium
The official recommended daily dietary allowance for magnesium is around 300 to 400 mg. The RDA guidelines are based on values that are absolutely essential for preventing a deficiency. However, according to scientific research, these recommended quantities may be insufficient for maintaining optimal health and performance, particularly in the case of athletes. Many experts therefore call for an increase of the RDA for magnesium to 6 to 8 mg per kilogram body weight, which corresponds to a daily dose of 400 to 1,000 mg of pure magnesium, according to body weight.

Magnesium is offered as magnesium salts in the form of magnesium chloride, magnesium citrate, magnesium orotate, magnesium sulfate and the like. Zechstein magnesium oil has only to be applied topically for rapid absorption of magnesium into the skin. Please make sure the skin is clean before use and avoid using it on the face and beware of contact with the eyes, because this can give an irritation reaction. Tip, spray in our hand and them apply it to your skin and let it be for at least 10 minutes.

Zechstein bath flakes can be used into a bath for a fully relaxing experience and a total body absorbing application. Tip, use a couple of cups up to 4 kilo (for intense applications in a full bath) of flakes in your warm (not hot) bath and enjoy it for maximum 20 minutes. Alternative is a footh bath.  Use 5 liters of water with 200 – 500 grams of flakes for at least minimum 20 minutes. The feet must be fully covered in water up to the ankles.

Zechstein gel helps to hydrate your skin. Take your time to massage it onto a clear skin for at least 15 minutes. It will not absorb fully, so rinse it off after use. Beside the normal gel there is also a scrubgel available.

Natural Structure

It takes a while to experience the results of the use because the body needs time to restore on cellular level. Therefore you can start at a modest level to use and built it up for 3 months with a daily use. From the point of restoration it depends on your own situation how to use it to maintain your health. 

Please note that this guideline is a general advice while the needs of magnesium are different for everybody, like the usage of magnesium can have different results. In general, around 300-400 mg magnesium daily is needed to keep the balance in a body with normal activity and a healthy basis.
